Michael Jackson wrote a song for the illusionists “Siegfried & Roy“. He was a big fan and went to many of their shows. The duo used animals and magic to create the biggest and highest grossing Las Vegas act ever and Michael Jackson would go on to invite them to all his own tours and even write a song especially for them called “Mind in the magic”! Michael would go on to use part of the song in his “This is it” concert show.

Michael Jackson was a major part of the World Music Awards 1996 in Monaco. Not only did he perform his “Earth Song” (twice, after he was unhappy with the first performance!) but joined Diana Ross on stage, collected awards and was a big part of Diana Ross’s performance, just sitting in his chair. We have a few Michael Jackson news stories this week but first we must mention Bruno Mars. He performed at the wireless festival in London over the weekend and sung Michael Jackson’s “Dirty Diana”. Brody mentioned this in dance class and that he really enjoyed the performance and so did the audience. I am quite impressed by the rendition!

This week we have been doing Michael Jackson’s “Behind the Mask”, which was released on the new “Michael” album – very fast MJ Moves!

Even with the speed of the moves you all did so well – so well done!
